Miyata points out the the Kamogawa gym boxers that Dragon was focused on Takamura's left as he feinted a left when he guarded and did not expected the guarding right arm to slide through and hit him. As everyone believed that Takamura won, Dragon gets up. Takamura psychs himself up by pounding his chests and shouting. Takamura and Dragon approach each other at the centre of the ring and hit each other in a dual exchange with Takamura landing a left jab and Dragon landing a right jab. Takamura, Ippo, Kamogawa, and Miyata notice that Dragon has entered the southpaw stance. Dragon's coach deems Dragon's use of his left when is in his orthodox stance as the protecting "God left" and when he has his left in the back in his southpaw stance, it is a destructive "demon left". Dragon throws a wide left hook towards Takamura.
