The Naniwa Tiger Side Story[]
The teacher hosted a home meeting with Takeshi's grandmother. She inquired about Sendō's goals in life and revealed that a career involving fighting may not be such a bad thing in his case. Her only desire was that he go on from middle school to high school.
She met him on the roof of the school one day. She pointed out that his attendance was improving, although he still arrived late. He asked her, "What does it mean to be strong?" She believed everyone had a different answer for that, and becoming an adult, getting a job, and working hard was part of hers. When he announced his intention to go to high school, she eagerly hugged him and said that was part of being strong too. At this point, she and Sendō have a familial rapport.
However, he got into a fight soon after, and he was sent to the police station as a result. She arrived at the police station and begged him why he had not simply called the police or a teacher for help. Sendō simply stated that it was his responsibility to help his friends, and asked her not to apply any "adult logic to it". She then announced that she was retiring soon because she, too, had to help a member of her family; "adult circumstances". She was trying to help Sendō in her last few days because he was the only student with questionable grades in the class. After that she would not be able to help him anymore. Sendō just walks away, telling her to leave whenever.
She reappeared once more following Sendō's fight against 35 high schoolers. Now that she was retired, she does not scold him, but instead gave him a kiss and wished him good luck finding someone who could answer his question of what it means to be strong. Later, she watched Sendō fight Makunouchi Ippo, and, during it, she realised that Sendō has finally found someone who understands him and can be his friend.

The teacher went to the Kōrakuen Hall to meet her former student, Sendō Takeshi. When she got there, she was late, however, she met Makunouchi Ippo, who she recognised as the one who defeated Sendō. After she was told by Ippo that Sendō should be out of the venue soon, she began to explain Sendō's past to him. She described him as someone who would get into trouble a lot, but was always trying to do the right thing. She added that she is proud of how Sendō turned out and thanked Ippo for being his friend. When Sendō came out of the venue, he angrily grabbed Ippo by the collar when he learned that he was talking about his past with his teacher until the teacher lectured him on how his first instinct was to resort to violence despite doing things for the right reasons. The group went to the Coffee Shop Hearns, where she heard from Sendō that he learned about how she got divorced, quit teaching, and has been acting depressed at a restaurant. After Sendō made Ippo punch him, he asked if she wanted to come live at his place. She requested to know more details, and Sendō explained to her that he will be going to Mexico for a while and needed her to use his room to keep an eye on his grandmother, wanting her to contact him if anything happens to his grandmother. Before she could answer, the police showed up with their guns drawn since the shop owner called them due to thinking that Sendō and Ippo were fighting. She was carried by Sendō as him and Ippo ran off.

After the group escaped the police and made it back to the Kōrakuen Hall, she laughed, telling Sendō how he hasn't changed. Sendō left in order to not miss the last train so that he can go back to Osaka after mentioning that he will go to Mexico when his hand heals. She told Ippo, who was tasked to take her home safely, how her ex-husband caused trouble after she split up and had to quit teaching. After remembering how Sendō would always say that he would help someone who needs or asks for help and Ippo believed that he wants to help her, she teared up, realising that he wants to help her. She asked Ippo why Sendō wants to go to Mexico, to which Ippo answered that he saw someone that was stronger, and if he defeats him, he can face the strongest in the world.

Sendō in Mexico Arc[]

After moving back to Osaka and she found a job at a cram school, she decided to check in on Sendō's grandmother at the Sendō Shop to greet her. When she got there, the grandmother thought that she was there because she decided to become Sendō's wife until Sendō arrived and explained that she came by since he asked the teacher to check on her. She promised Sendō that she would check in on her every day while he is away. When Hoshi Hiroyuki and Sendō's followers arrived, Hoshi explained that they will be security guards to keep the teacher and grandmother safe at the shop. The teacher felt unneeded since Sendō's followers can watch over his grandmother without her help, mentioning to Sendō that she may just go back to Tokyo. Not wanting his teacher to leave, Sendō quickly dispersed the group, leaving his teacher to remember how her popular former student went from a problem child to a true hero. As Sendō began to leave for Mexico, the teacher was worried about how he will communicate with the Mexicans. Hoshi then claimed that he will go with him as he knows English, however the teacher was still worried due to Mexicans speaking Spanish and not English.

Takeshi's teacher is slender and young-looking, though her age is not elaborated upon. Her hair is shoulder length with bangs hanging around the sides of her face, and is a light color, probably brown. Her eyes are also a light color. Her wardrobe consists of a conservative shirt of some sort (a sweater or jacket), a skirt, and heels on one occasion and heeled boots on another.
Personality[]
Takeshi's teacher has a genial personality, as she is shown smiling and encouraging Sendou frequently throughout her appearance. Her attitude toward Sendou is also recurrently flirtatious, though there is negligible evidence that she was sexually attracted to him; Sendou was, at the time, only thirteen or fourteen years old. It is implied that she is the only person who sticks out for him during his middle school years, much like how Sawamura's teacher stuck out for Sawamura during his early days. She encourages him to go to high school, regardless of what he wanted to do in life, but also admits that he is good at fighting.
