Tamura (田村, Tamura) is a non-recurring character in Hajime no Ippo. He is a junior lightweight from the Satō Boxing Gym that Makunouchi Ippo sparred with in his Dojo Duel prior to his match with Sendō Takeshi.

Lallapallooza Arc[]
While Tamura was warming up for his spar, his coach was welcoming Makunouchi Ippo and Aoki Masaru. The spar started when they touched gloves. Tamura threw a jab, but Ippo was able to dodge it and counter with an uppercut, knocking Tamura out.
Etymology[]
- The surname Tamura means "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta) and "town, village" (村) (mura).
Trivia[]
- In Hajime no Ippo 2: Victorious Road, it listed Tamura's full name as Hiroshi Tamura (田村 宏, Tamura Hiroshi).
