The Ishino Coach is a non-recurring character in Hajime no Ippo.
He is a coach at the Ishino Boxing Gym who trains Komori. He allowed the members of his sister gym, Kamogawa Boxing Gym, to stay while they were in Osaka for the All Japan Rookie King Tournament against Takeshi Sendō.

When the Kamogawa Boxing Gym members arrived to the Ishino Boxing Gym, the coach introduced them to Komori, who was ordered to be Ippo Makunouchi's sparring partner. He watched Komori fight Ippo, then ended it early when he saw that Ippo was not at his best and did not want to damage him.

He appears to be a middle aged man with short brown hair and a thin moustache. He is seen wearing a white sweatshirt advertising his boxing gym.
