Jirō Yamaguchi (山口 次郎, Yamaguchi Jirō) is a non-recurring character in Hajime no Ippo.
Jirō is a featherweight professional boxer that fought against Eiji Date in his tenth match. Jirō was Date's last opponent before he relinquished his JBC featherweight title.

At some point, Jirō challenged Eiji Date for his JBC featherweight title. Jirō lost by knockout in the first round. Jirō's status beyond the match is unknown.
