The Kourakuen Hall Doctor is a semi-recurring character in Hajime no Ippo.
He is the person who watches over the safety of the boxers at Kōrakuen Hall, where he can decided to stop a match for the boxer's safety.

Part I[]
Early Days Arc[]
During Ippo Makunouchi vs Yūsuke Oda the referee stopped the match when he saw Ippo had a cut above his eye. The Doctor was called over to judge if the fight needed to be stopped or not. Due to the pressure of the crowd cheering for the fight to continue and Ippo's resolve to fight, the doctor agreed to let the fight continue.

A Passing Point Arc[]

Takamura telling the Doctor it is a scratch, not afraid of losing an eye
During Mamoru Takamura WBC Middleweight Title Match against David Eagle, Takamura and Eagle both cut themselves above their eyes where it started bleeding pretty badly. The Referee stopped the match, when he noticed a lot of bleeding from it. The Doctor was called over to judge if the match should continue or not. The Doctor was planning to stop the fight until Takamura grab him with his gloves and told him it is only a scratch. He told the Doctor not to be a wet blank and he thought losing an eye wasn't a big deal since they were fighting for a belt with their lives. He then proceed to get the crowd behind him in order to force the match to continue. Eagle also tried to get the crowd involved for it to continue. The Doctor gave in, and the match continued.

Unknown if it's the same doctor, both at Kōrakuen Hall and Ryōgoku Kokugikan which he appears he wears a black suit and a large pair of glasses. He has short black hair.
