Kikumoto Coach (菊本 会長, Kikumoto Kaichō) is the main coach of the Kikumoto gym. He has trained Katsutaka Imae.
Background[]
At some point, he became the main coach of the Kikumoto gym. When new student Katsutaka Imae came to his gym, he acknowledged Imae's talent and how he trained twice as hard to advance further.[1]

Prior to Katsutaka Imae's second JBC lightweight title defence match against Aoki Masaru, the coach revealed to Imae about his match tickets being sold out and that he could show his real power and appeal to a lot of people. He proceeded to do the final checks before the match by having Imae review videos of Aoki's matches and explaining Aoki's unorthodox style. Later, he attended the weigh-in between Imae and Aoki. When things got heated between the two, the coach held Imae back.
The next day, he went to the Kōrakuen Hall with Imae for his title match against Aoki. When the match was beginning, the coach instructed Imae to calm down as usual. During the match, Aoki fooled both the coach and Imae with his ability to Play Dead to drain Imae's stamina, something the coach has never seen Imae run out of. The match ended after the ten rounds were over. A decision was made and the match ended in a draw, resulting in Imae keeping the belt.

After losing his JBC title to Ōshima Sōshi, Imae managed stay in the upper rankings for a position in the Class A Tournament for another shot at the JBC title. When Imae's first round of the tournament arrived, he went with Imae to the Kōrakuen Hall to be his chief second for his match against Iga Shinobu. The match ended in Imae getting effortlessly defeated in the first round.
Appearance[]
He has shoulder-length brown hair with bangs over his forehead and wears square-shaped eyeglasses. His attire consists of a red t-shirt at his boxer's matches and inside the gym.
Personality[]
He is a planner and he can do anything to draw attention to his gym and his fighter.
