The Law of the Ring Saga is the sixth story saga and the second in the second part of the series.
Manabu Itagaki has a rematch against Fumito Makino and Kyōsuke Imai, who he previously lost to each; in between Ippo Makunouchi defending his JBC featherweight title for the sixth and seventh time from Takuzō Karasawa and the veteran Keīchi Take respectively. At the same time Ichirō Miyata defends his own OPBF featherweight title against Choi Jong-bong, along with Masaru Aoki and Tatsuya Kimura fighting against the national champions Papaya Dachiu and Eleki Battery in a rematch. Following that, Takamura also has to defend his WBC middleweight title for the first time from Richard Fox. The promised dream match between Ippo and Miyata is finally unofficially set in spring after they both defend their titles. Lastly the highly anticipated chaotic death match follows with Ryō Mashiba, who is defending his JBC junior lightweight title for the seventh time and the challenger Ryūhei Sawamura.
