Ico had an upcoming match against OPBF featherweight champion Ichirō Miyata. When his match arrived, he went to the Kōrakuen Hall. When the match began, Ico's guard was attacked by left and right combinations. After Ico threw a left hook, he was hit by a left counter, causing him to go down. The referee ended the match immediately, resulting in Ico's loss in the first round.
