Otakugon (オタクゴン, Otakugon) is a mahjong parlour located in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.

History[]

Part III[]

Keith Dragon Arc[]

As requested by WBC super middleweight champion Keith Dragon to the Kamogawa gym that he has to play mahjong if he goes to Japan to fight Takamura Mamoru in a title defence match, a mahjong match was hosted at the Otakugon between Dragon, Yagi Haruhiko, Murakami Jen, and Ōi Takachan. During the second mahjong match, the owner banned Yagi from the parlour after he attempted to gamble with Dragon.

Later, Yagi's ban was lifted as he was able to come back for another mahjong match between Dragon, Robo, and Matsu.

Trivia[]

  • "Otakugon" (オタクゴン) is a pun of the word "Octogon" (オクタゴン), switching the "ク" katakana with the "タ" katakana.
  • Otakugon is based on the real life mahjong parlour "Mahjong Octagon", which the name is under the Otakugon's name on the sign, and the owner of Otakugon is also based on the owner of the Mahjong Octagon, Tsuyoshi Koyama.[1]
