- In Round 1425, Mamoru Takamura claiming that he is heading to the Guiana Highlands on a quest for knowledge is a reference to the Gundam series where Domon Kasshu went to the Guiana Highlands to train. Jōji Morikawa was binge watching Gundam around this time.
- In Round 1426, Takamura's ring entrance costume is based off the GF13-026ND Mermaid Gundam from the Gundam series.
- In Round 1432, Ippo builds two "Gundama M-7 Zako" figurines. They are the Zako Soldiers from the Gundam series.

- In Round 1412, the creatures Wally was playing with in the flashback were Neritantan from Made in Abyss.
- In Round 1414, the wrestling masks Manabu Itagaki, Taihei Aoki, and Kintarō Kaneda were wearing are based on characters from the Made in Abyss series:
- Itagaki's mask is based on "Mitty"

- In Round 1443, the object wrapped around Manabu and Nanako's Father's finger when he took the group selfie for Takamura has a Haku symbol on it, which is an upside down stick man with one arm detached from it's body.

- In Round 1438, Ippo described Ryō Mashiba's right body blow as like getting hit by the pro wrestling move "16-mon Kick" (16文キック). The name was exclusive to Giant Baba, who was the first Japanese pro wrestler to use the move as a special move. 16-mon Kick is a high kick that is also called the "Big Boot" in other countries.
