• The Royal Hotel is based on the real life RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL in Totsuka, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan.
• While it debuted in Round 330, the exterior wasn't shown until Round 927.
• The name changed from "Roigal Hotel" to "Royal Hotel" in Round 1448. "Roigal" may have been a misspelling of "Royal" or a combination of "Rihga" and "Royal".
