Shinji Takehara (竹原 慎二, Takehara Shinji)[1] is a coach, former professional boxer, and former WBA world middleweight champion from the video game Hajime no Ippo: Fighting Souls.

Shinji appears in the video game as an eight star power type Fighting Soul in collaboration with the butchake channel (ぶっちゃけチャンネル), a YouTube channel hosted by former professional boxers Shinji Takehara, Katsuo Tokashiki, and Takanori Hatakeyama.
He was released into the gacha on July 19, 2024. A gacha event between July 19, 2024 to July 25, 2024 was held where players would be able to get him at a higher chance.

Shinji has fair skin and a muscular build. He has dark brown unkempt hair and black coloured eyes. His attire in the ring depicted in the Fighting Soul portrait consists of boxing trunks that are coloured gold on the right side and black on the left side, with his name "S, Takehara" on the name plate that is coloured black on the black belt area. His appearance as a coach has him looking older in age.

As listed in his Fighting Soul skills, Shinji is a former WBA world middleweight champion. He is hard puncher who notably uses a one-two, left hook combination, and a left body blow.
