Kamogawa received the Tekken by hitting into a hill with his fists, Ippo received the Tekken by hitting logs into a hill with a hammer. Having no difference between the regular body blow, it is a punch aimed at the torso, namely the ribcage. However, having trained relentlessly to improve its power, Kamogawa could instantly break the opponent's ribs with this punch, effectively shutting down their punching power, footwork, and instilling fear in them. Even if it is guarded, the imprint of his fist remains on the opponent's flesh, and make it numb. When the technique was used against Anderson, the first one to land was a Hook and the finishing blow was an Uppercut to the body. This punch is dangerous to use because the power of the blow can shatter the user's fist just as easily. In fact, this technique ended Kamogawa's career as a boxer.

The Tekken (鉄拳, Tekken, literally meaning Iron Fist) are the name of fists that are trained from an iron will to be as strong as iron.

OverviewEdit

The Tekken are fists trained to be as strong as iron, making any punch thrown with enough strength leave a print of the user's fist on the opponent's flesh, similar to an iron burn, even when blocked.[1] When a punch thrown with Tekken hits a blocking arm, the arm can feel numb.[2] Getting hit with a Tekken can feel as if one is getting hit with something more solid than a fist and the pain can go through to the bone. The power of the Tekken can shatter rib cages, which in turn, can pierce an opponent's internal organs.[3] If the user has weakened fists, they can shatter upon impact hitting with a Tekken.[4]

TrainingEdit

Kamogawa Genji gained the Tekken after having trained his fists intending to finish Ralph Anderson with a one-hit body blow by punching a log into a hill with only his fists in gloves, something that would normally be done with a massive hammer.[5] When the log went all the way into the hill, Hama Dankichi noted that Kamogawa's fists were like a hammer born by his iron will.

Makunouchi Ippo did a similar training method to train his body for the Dempsey Roll by pushing multiple logs in with a massive hammer.[6]
