Tokyo (東京 Tōkyō) is a recurring location in Hajime no Ippo in Japan, where majority of the story takes place.

Tokyo, officially Tokyo Metropolis (東京都 Tōkyō-to), is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan. It has served as the Japanese capital since 1869. Tokyo forms part of the Kantō region on the southeastern side of Japan's main island, Honshu, and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands.

Introduction

Tokyo is the main setting area for the story, where the main characters live, work, and train in. Majority of the boxing matches take place in Tokyo at the Kōrakuen Hall. The East Japan Rookie King Tournament, Class A Tournament, and most of the JBC, OPBF, and a few world title matches take place here.

Places of Interest
