History[]
Part I[]
Battle of Hawk Arc[]

Wataru meets Ippo, Aoki, and Kimura.
Wataru and his sister, Kyōka Takamura came to visit his older brother, Mamoru Takamura at his place. As they waited for Takamura to get home, Ippo Makunouchi, Masaru Aoki, and Kimura Tatsuya showed up at his house. He explained to the three that they usually can't visit Takamura, but they wanted to wish him luck for his title match. He then mentioned that Takamura warned him to stay away from "Aoki". When Kyōka revealed to Takamura's friends that Takamura separated himself from the family, Wataru claimed that it was the family's fault as Takamura felt uncomfortable there. Wataru claimed that even though his mother, father and Suguru Takamura rejected Takamura, he looks up to him.
Wataru later watched Takamura's WBC junior middleweight title match against Bryan Hawk and was happy to see him win.
Part III[]
Keith Dragon Arc[]

Wataru visiting Takamura before his match against Dragon.
On the day of Takamura's WBC super middleweight title match against Keith Dragon, Wataru and Kyōka went to Takamura's place to visit and give him food. While there, Wataru announced his proposal to Takamura, that he is going to handle the production of sportswear for Suguru's apparel division in the Takamura Enterprises, with the job being his first step as a producer and designer. When Wataru claimed that he made arrangements with the shrine where Takamura broke the bell at to have a new bell made with gold, Takamura got frustrated as he already made reparations, causing the shrine to have two bells. Wataru and Kyōka left with Suguru, who drove them there. When Takamura's WBC super middleweight title match arrived, Wataru went to the Ryōgoku Kokugikan to watch the match with Suguru and Kyōka. Wataru watched as Takamura wins in the fourth round, becoming the WBC super middleweight champion.
Judgement Day Arc[]
When Takamura's first WBC super middleweight title defence match was announced, Wataru made a fish costume for him to wear. Later, Wataru went to the Ryōgoku Kokugikan and watched as Takamura won his first WBC super middleweight title defence match by a third round knockout.

Wataru has neatly combed short brown hair with bangs that go over his forehead. He wears eyeglasses and wears a blue business suit. While Wataru and Kyōka do resemble each other to an extent, neither of them look even remotely like Mamoru or Suguru.

He didn't like that the Takamura family had so many traditions and believes that a life where one goes down their own path with their own power is the best kind of life. He also studies a lot according to Takamura.
