World Boxing Council Belt

The WBC belt.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) is a boxing federation council focusing on the world, which decides the world's strongest fighters by their ranking.

Among the four major bodies (others being WBA, IBF and WBO), the WBC belt is arguably the most prestigious and is known to be owned by the very best world champions. Some are ranked in the WBC because the OPBF is affiliated with the WBC.

It is stated that there is a fierce competition for the WBC featherweight belt because many are afraid to confront the WBA champion Ricardo Martínez. Boxers who win the WBC featherweight champion belt aren't called the strongest in the world due to Ricardo's presence.[1]
